Let’s face it: you’re going to disagree with this piece, even if you intentionally sought it out. You want to disagree with it more than that.

You can’t wait to point out how ridiculous it is that Player X is ranked higher than Player Y, that all quarterbacks are overrated, or that your favorite fifth-string rookie WR sleeper isn’t even on the list. You have no doubt that you could improve your Top 200 PPR fantasy rankings in your sleep.

Your only hope is that the other suckers in your league pay attention to these rankings while planning their draft strategy.Maybe you’re correct. After all, this is fantasy football. We invest a lot of time and effort into our preseason rankings, but injuries, surprising busts, unexpected breakthroughs, and other bizarre events occur every year.

That’s why these rankings are worth taking a look at. DOMINATE YOUR DRAFT: Ultimate 2021 Cheat SheetYou know you’ve been incorrect in the past, no matter how sure you are in your abilities to judge athletes.

Getting multiple viewpoints on preseason rankings can help you not just with your decisions, but also with understanding what other owners in your league are thinking. If we have a player ranked much lower than you, there’s a good probability we have a few more. That means you might not have to reach as far for your favorite snooze.

2021 PPR FANTASY RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

It’s also crucial to fully comprehend the distinctions between PPR and normal scoring. This may seem obvious, but if you’re used to playing in one league vs the other, it’s easy to exaggerate (or minimize) the differences. Even if you’re in a PPR league, your league’s default settings or other public rankings may be tuned for standard scoring, which could have a significant impact on how your draft unfolds.

2021 STANDARD FANTASY RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker | Top 200

Apart from the obvious fact that receptions matter more in PPR leagues, all QBs and D/STs are valued a little less. Simply put, RBs, WRs, and TEs have more value since there are more points available to them. While quarterbacks have the same worth as other positions, they do not outscore other positions as much.

2021 FANTASY AUCTION VALUES (Standard & PPR):
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker | Overall

Derrick Henry, our top standard-league player, falls to No. 5 in PPR behind Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, Alvin Kamara, and Dalvin Cook. Behind Davante Adams, DeAndre Hopkins, Stefon Diggs, and Calvin Ridley, our top standard WR Tyreek Hill drops to fifth among pass-catchers. Even in half-point PPR forms, even when talking about top-tier players like that, the variances are small, but values are still affected.

Of course, the majority of your problems with these rankings will be found further down the list. Every year, players like committee backs, WRs in new offenses, and possible breakthrough TEs provoke heated debate among fantasy owners. It’s one of the things that makes fantasy football so entertaining. In either case, getting a variety of viewpoints can help you attain the one goal we’re all aiming for: a fantasy championship.
