Ryan Gosling spoke to GQ magazine in a rare interview on how he and his wife Eva Mendes dealt with the pandemic while raising their two young girls.
Oh, to be a parent during a pandemic. In a recent interview with GQ magazine, Ryan Gosling gives us all kinds of relatability vibes at a launch party for the famed actor’s new (and first) business relationship with Tag Heuer.
The interview with longtime companion Eva Mendes on October 7 provided a rare insight into the Drive star’s parenting skills as he discussed his two children, Esmerelda and Amada, and how they all managed to stay engaged during quarantine.
“Our kids are young, so being separated from other kids and not being able to see family and things like that was a difficult time for them,” The Notebook actor stated.
“As a result, we did our best to amuse them.” In quarantine, I believe Eva and I did more acting than we have in our entire careers.” We’re thinking of award-winning puppet performances.
Since 2011, Ryan and Eva have been together. They met on the set of their crime drama film The Place Beyond the Pines, which also starred Bradley Cooper, which was released the following year. Esmerelda, the couple’s first daughter, was born three years later and is now seven years old. Then, on April 29, 2016, Amada, a 5-year-old girl, joined the family.
Ryan, Eva, and their children are rarely seen at public events since the couple prefers to keep a low profile and raise their children away from the craziness of Hollywood celebrity culture.
But every now and then, we see entertainers out and about with their kids, and they’re usually dressed to the nines and appearing as relaxed as they can! In recent years, the two have taken a break from acting, with Ryan’s most recent appearance in 2018’s First Man and Eva’s in 2014’s fantasy film Lost River.
