‘My name is Shauna Rae,’ she says. Shauna dislikes going to the gym because people are ‘judgmental.’

In this EXCLUSIVE preview of the all-new ‘I Am Shauna Rae,’ Shauna Rae goes to the gym with her father. She admits that she dislikes going to the gym because she feels like everyone is staring at her.

Shauna Rae is attempting to live a regular 22-year-old life. In this EXCLUSIVE peek of the January 25 episode of I Am Shauna Rae, she travels to the local gym with her father to meet with a trainer. The trainer informs Shauna that most women, not just her, are unable to use certain pieces of equipment.

«There were a handful of things she was questioning that I might not be able to achieve, but the majority of what she stated is accommodable in some way.» «It was good to hear that for the first time,» Shauna admits.

Shauna and her father go to the gym for a one-on-one workout with a personal trainer. Shauna explains, «I don’t like gyms because they’re judgmental.» «They always say there will be no judgment, but as soon as I step in… well, are you above 13?» No, it’s not like it matters. I’m a grownup, after all.»

Other people «just stare at you and stare at you,» Shauna adds, in addition to doubting her age. People often comment on how «adorable» she looks on the exercise equipment, she says. Shauna responds, «I don’t want that.»

Shauna is asked if there are any cute males at the gym by the producer. «No,» Shauna swiftly responds. «I’m not drawn to gym fanatics,» she says later. I’m not a fan of the noises they produce.»

When Shauna was a baby, she was diagnosed with a rare kind of brain cancer. Her chemotherapy had a side effect that caused her to stop developing at the time. When she reached 3 feet and 10 inches, her pituitary gland went almost totally inactive, and she stopped growing completely. She is now 22 years old, yet her appearance is that of an 8-year-old. I Am Shauna Rae airs on TLC on Tuesdays at 10 p.m.
