Michael Jordan’s five children, Jasmine, Jeffrey, Marcus, and twins Victoria and Ysabel, are also well-known.
Michael Jordan is a living superstar in the NBA, having been inducted into the Hall of Fame and leading his previous team, the Chicago Bulls, to six championships in the 1990s. But to his five children, Jasmine, 28, Jeffrey, 32, Marcus, 30, and twins Victoria and Ysabel, all 7, the 58-year-old former athlete and businessman is just a regular “homebody” and “private” parent.
The NBA legend has three adult children with his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy and his youngest twins with current wife Yvette Prieto, whom he married in 2013. Michael has always kept his personal life quiet, isolating his successful profession from his personal life to the point that his children had no knowledge.
In 2018, Jasmine told InStyle that she didn’t realize the scale of her father’s profession at first. She explained, “He was ‘dad,’ and that was all.” “It wasn’t until I was in my pre-teens, around 12 or 13, that I went on YouTube and typed up ‘Michael Jordan’ to discover why everyone was so obsessed with him. When I was younger, my classmates used to tell me, ‘You’re very blessed to have Michael Jordan as a father.’
“They always wanted to know what it was like, and all I could say was, ‘He’s just my dad, and it’s fun,’” she went on to explain. “It didn’t occur to me that he was such a sensation. I’d constantly ask him questions like, ‘Why do you think you’re the best?’ and he’d just laugh.” Be
Jasmine Mickael Jordan
At 28, Jasmine is one of Michael and his first wife Juanita’s three children. While she does not have a career in basketball, she does reside in the world of sports and, of course, sneakers. Jasmine studied sports management at Syracuse University and currently works as a field representative for Nike Jordan, according to her InStyle profile. She also works with the Charlotte Hornets, the NBA team that her father owns. Jasmine is engaged to Syracuse alum and former basketball player Rakeem Christmas; the two welcomed son Rakeem Michael Christmas in 2019.
Jeffrey Michael Jordan
Michael and his first wife Juanita have three children, one of whom is Jasmine, who is 28 years old. Despite the fact that she does not have a basketball career, she is immersed in the world of sports and, of course, sneakers. According to her InStyle profile, Jasmine studied sports management at Syracuse University and currently works as a field representative for Nike Jordan.
She also helps out with her father’s NBA franchise, the Charlotte Hornets. Jasmine is engaged to Rakeem Christmas, a Syracuse alum and former basketball star; the couple welcomed their baby Rakeem Michael Christmas in 2019.
Marcus James Jordan
Marcus, 30, is Michael’s middle child with Juanita, his first wife. He previously attended the University of Central Florida, where he majored in hospitality management and played basketball. Marcus followed in his brother Jeffrey’s footsteps and went into business after graduating from college. Marcus is the creator and CEO of The Trophy Room, a store that describes itself as a “elevated retail boutique inspired by the Jordan family’s trophy room.” It includes Jordan and Nike sneakers and gear. In an Instagram post last month, Marcus announced that the boutique would launch its own location in Orlando, Florida, saying, “We back soon.”
Victoria and Ysabel Jordan
Michael and his current model wife Yvette have twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel, who are both seven years old. The couple married in Florida in April 2013 and welcomed identical twins in February 2014. “Yvette and the babies are doing well and the family is pleased at their arrival,” the former NBA player’s representative said in a statement at the time. Because of Michael’s quiet and low-key approach to his family, little is known about the twins.
Michael (understandably) does not post images of his daughters on Instagram or Twitter, and his wife does not appear to have a social media profile. His ex-elder wife’s children haven’t shared images of their younger step-siblings, which is understandable. Fans will have to wait till Michael officially shares facts about his twins on his own terms until then.
