Jennie Nguyen of RHOSLC is blaming her social media team for offensive Facebook posts.

After being dismissed by Bravo for resurfacing inflammatory Facebook pages, ‘RHOSLC’ star Jennie Nguyen declared she was ‘glad to be Republican.’

Jennie Nguyen, 44, of the blockbuster Bravo series Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, has spoken out after being sacked for inflammatory Facebook remarks dating back to 2020. Jennie blamed a «team of people» assisting her with social media for uploading the nasty posts on a Facebook page in an Instagram Live video.

«I just want you to know that I had a team of people assisting me at the time.» «Whether they uploaded or I posted, it doesn’t really matter at this point,» she stated alongside her Black friend Michael on Wednesday, January 26.

«It’s on my account,» she added, «and I accept full responsibility and accountability for what was posted.» «I know I’ve caused a lot of people pain.» «My perspective during that time in 2020 was emotional, and it brings back a lot of emotions from that period when we had such a dreadful, terrible year,» she explained, calling the messages «disgusting.»

She then defended her Republican political views. «I want you to know that my political stance is unchanged. I’m pleased to call myself a Republican. «I’m glad to be able to state that I, too, have the right to free speech and to hold an opinion,» she continued. «I don’t accept violence, but I do back up by police officers.»

I understand that there are good and terrible people in any job. I am not a supporter of the bad. I oppose violence against black people or individuals of any race, but I do support law enforcement, which does not make me a racist. It does not make me a racist to support my political position. That is something I want you to be aware of.»

Michael, who identified as a gay Black man, defended her as well. «I did have to educate her overtime on the whole Black Lives Matter and everything like that because I’m a homosexual black man, so I live it every day,» he stated live.

«Anyone who claims she paid him to be there or used the friend card, I’ve seen all of your comments… But here’s the truth: I’m familiar with Jennie’s personality and the person she is on the inside. She isn’t a bigot.»

Jennie’s newest apology comes just one day after Bravo confirmed that Jennie would no longer be filming for the show’s third season. The network also stated that it is aiming to improve who will be a part of the RHOSLC cast going forward.

«We acknowledge that once her inappropriate social media posts were brought to our attention, we failed to take proper action.» In the future, we will try to strengthen our processes so that we can make better-informed and careful casting decisions,» Bravo said in a statement released on January 25.

All of this controversy began when now-deleted Facebook posts from Jennie’s account that disparaged the Black Lives Matter movement and were shared in 2020 emerged.

In a message posted on Instagram on January 19, Jennie apologized for the earlier posts. «I’d want to apologize and acknowledge the resurfacing of my deleted Facebook posts from 2020.»

I thought I was speaking out against violence at the time, but I’ve subsequently realized how harsh and insulting my statements were. It’s why I canceled that account over a year ago and why I’m still trying to learn about diverse points of view. «I deeply regret those posts and apologize for the hurt they caused,» she added.
