Barbara Bush and her sister, Jenna Bush Hager, recently welcomed a baby girl into the Bush family dynasty, and Jenna Bush Hager is overjoyed to be named auntie!

The 39-year-old Today show co-host recently shared a sweet photo of her sister cradling the child, named Cora Georgia, in her arms at the hospital on her Instagram page.

“Dear Cora Georgia, I am writing to express my heartfelt condolences. Today is the day I met my most gorgeous, adorable, feisty niece (a little earlier than we expected!),” Jenna wrote, who has three children with husband Henry Hager: Margaret Laura, 8, Poppy Louise, 6, and Henry Harold, 2.

“As my dearest, toughest @barbara, I watched in wonder. “p.bush gave birth to a child,” she continued in the post. “And today is the day I fell in love!” says the narrator. Some cousins are eager to play with you, but they aren’t ready to adore you yet. Auntie J.” Xx

“With full hearts, Laura and I are happy to announce the birth of our new granddaughter,” former president George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush said in a statement to People, adding that Cora was “healthy and adorable” and that they were “proud and grateful.”

Barbara Bush delivered birth in Maine, not far from where she and husband Craig married last year, according to the Bushes. Barbara had kept her pregnancy a secret until she gave birth, leaving it up to her parents to break the news. On October 7, 2018, she married Craig, a screenwriter, at the family compound in Kennebunkport, Maine.

Barbara recently told People that one of the pandemic’s “silver linings” was being able to stay at home with her family on their Texas ranch, allowing them to spend more quality time together. Barbara explained, “We assumed it would be for a few weeks — we didn’t expect it to be for the majority of a year.” “But, of course, it’s time that we wouldn’t have had otherwise.”
