Janelle Brown begins to question if she still wants to be in a plural marriage with Kody after losing her mother in the Jan. 16 episode of ‘Sister Wives.’

Throughout this season of Sister Wives, Janelle Brown and Kody Brown have had opposing viewpoints on how stringent COVID protocols should be. Janelle and her children even spent Thanksgiving away from Kody after deciding they couldn’t follow his standards. During the Jan. 16 episode, her feelings about the hardship of the situation came to a head, and she began to wonder if she was still happy in her marriage.

«In the last few weeks, I’ve found myself contemplating and wondering, ‘Do I still choose plural marriage?'» Robyn Brown was informed by Janelle. «I still choose it,» she says, «but I had to make a conscious decision.»

«I’ve had to truly ponder — my children are practically grown and there’s not a tremendous necessity to stay,» she added in a confessional. It was a fantastic method to raise kids. However, my connection with Kody is currently fragile. It would be quite simple to walk away.»

COVID has had a negative impact on the entire family. While Robyn and Meri Brown have decided to follow Kody’s COVID guidelines to the letter, Janelle and Christine Brown have gone their own way. Christine, like Janelle, has been outspoken about how she disagrees with Kody’s perspective on the subject, and she’s considered leaving.

«What I envisioned polygamy to be when I was younger turned out to be extremely different from what I experienced,» she said. «However, Christmas is approaching, and I need to be present and grateful for the family I have.» Polygamy has shaped who I am now. «Because I was there.»

Janelle, Christine, and their families decided to quarantine and obey Kody’s rules in the run-up to Christmas 2020 so that the entire family could be together. For the first time since COVID debuted in March, the entire band was able to reunite in one location.

Despite the wonderful event, Kody was still dissatisfied with the way some of his relationships were going. «With COVID and relationships, we’ve had a lot of challenges this year, and as a result, I’m a little blue,» he explained. ‘This Christmas, I’m not feeling very cheerful.’

Janelle, on the other hand, appeared to have a more upbeat attitude after the holiday gathering. «I believe we’ve harmed a few relationships this year,» she admitted. «However, I believe it is time to return to normalcy and see if we can work things out.» Christine was unable to smooth things up enough to stay, as fans know, and she and Kody split in the fall of 2021.
