Timothee Chalamet took to Instagram to share new photos of himself dressed up as Willy Wonka, complete with top hat and blazer, offering fans an early glimpse at his upcoming ‘Wonka’ flick.

Timothee Chalamet, 25, drew the attention of his followers on Oct. 10 when he published the first photos of him as Willy Wonka! The amazing actor is due to star in the next film Wonka, which will be released in 2023, and he looked so much like the title character that we couldn’t believe our eyes!

In one photo, he’s standing in the snow, wearing Willy’s classic attire, which includes a high brown top hat, maroon coat, and patterned scarves, with a serious look. Take a look at the photos by clicking HERE.

In a second photograph, his hand can be seen resting on the top of Willy’s famous cane. A purple present figure with a red bow on top was supplied. “The suspense is dreadful, I hope it lasts…WONKA,” he joked in the caption, referring to a line from the 1971 original movie, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, in which Gene Wilder (the real Willy Wonka) stated.

One fan responded, “I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED FOR ANYTHING,” while another wondered if the hat he was wearing was made of chocolate. Timothee Chalamet has been cast in the role of Willy Wonka.

Timothee’s portrayal of Willy Wonka comes nearly 60 years after the story and character first appeared in Roald Dohl’s 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The story follows Charlie Bucket, a poor child who receives a golden ticket to explore Willy’s mysterious and beautiful chocolate factory. The book was converted into two films: a 1971 film and a 2005 film starring Johnny Depp as Willy. Timothee’s prequel will be directed by Paul King and will be published on March 17, 2023.
