Hundreds evacuated from Philadelphia retirement community in stifling heat

Several hundred residents of a Northwest Philadelphia retirement community had been evacuated on Friday afternoon after a partial power outage on a dangerously scorching day.

About 250 of us had been eradicated from The Pavilion flats in the Wynnefield Heights a part of the city to a shelter hosted at West Philadelphia High School, police suggested the Associated Press.

Some residents had been hospitalized for evaluation, the wire service reported.

Repairs had been to start out Saturday.

The retirement community wanted to be completely evacuated on account of all power wanted to be minimized by agency, fireplace officers suggested CBS Philly.
