How Gabrielle Union’s Tell-All Book Was ‘Healing’ For Her Relationship…

Gabrielle Union’s latest book is said to have helped her heal from her prior marital issues with now-husband Dwyane Wade.

Gabrielle Union, 48, is preparing to publish a new book in which she discusses her husband Dwyane Wade, 39, fathering a kid with another woman.

Dwyane was “ready” for Gabrielle to reveal the complete narrative about their relationship in the book You Got Anything Stronger?, according to a source close to the former athlete.

“She was very honest with him the entire time,” the insider told HL exclusively. “He realized that writing this book and being so open and honest only served to strengthen their bond, and that was the most important thing to him.”

“They are currently in a lot better place seven years into their marriage than they have ever been,” the person stated. The book has played an important role in the healing process, and Dwyane and Gab are overjoyed because they adore each other.” Gabrielle said in the book that learning Dwyane had fathered a child with someone else “shattered” her soul.

“The experience of Dwyane having a baby so easily—while I was unable to—left my spirit not simply broken into pieces, but shattered into fine dust spreading in the wind,” she wrote in an excerpt from her book, which Time magazine published on September 10. The news of the pregnancy devastated the Bring It On actress, who was undergoing IVF treatments at the time. “Dwyane had a baby with another lady in 2013, before we were married. We were not in a good situation at the time that child was conceived, that goes without saying.”

Dwyane and his “longtime companion” Aja Metoyer welcomed their son Xavier into the world in 2013, and he is now seven years old. The author writes, “To say I was saddened is to choose a word from a low shelf for convenience.” “There have been people outraged that I have not previously spoken about that trauma—strangers I will never meet. I’ve never had words, and even after countless hours of therapy, I’m not sure I ever will.”
