As he grieved Linda, the GRAMMY winner subsequently recalled that he “cried for approximately a year, on and off.” He told the BBC in 2019 at the opening of an exhibit, “You expect to see them walk in, this person you adore, because you are so used to them.” “I shed a lot of tears.” It was almost embarrassing, but it seemed like the only option,” he said, revealing that his mother, Mary McCartney, died of the same ailment when he was just 14 years old.

After meeting Heather Mills, 53, in 2002, Paul remarried. In October 2003, the former model gave birth to their only child, Beatrice McCartney, who is now 17 years old. Unfortunately, Paul and Heather divorced in 2008 after a six-year relationship.

Heather McCartney

Heather was born on December 31, 1962, in Tucson, Arizona, to Linda and her first husband Joseph Melville See. When Heather was 18 months old, Linda and Joseph divorced, and she was adopted by Paul at the age of six (Paul and Joseph’s divorce was formalized in 1965).

Heather made a remarkable appearance as a child in The Beatles’ film Let It Be.

Heather, like her parents, has always had an artistic bent: she studied printing at the Photographers’ Workshop in Covent Garden and went on to win the Young Black and White Printer of the Year Award. She went on to study ceramics and design after high school, finally working as a professional potter.

In 1999, she launched her own Heather McCartney Houseware Collection, which was inspired by her travels to Mexico and other parts of the world. She also went to Arizona about the same time to be with her biological father, who died in 1999.

“I had $200 in my pocket the first time I traveled down [to Mexico].” ‘You’re being looked after here,’ my parents didn’t say. “They let me see it for myself, which was quite significant to me,” she stated.

“I spent time with people who were unconcerned about their financial situation. They were not interested in the most up-to-date washing machine or television. They didn’t have much, but they were content. They just wanted to be left alone, which I could understand.”

Her latter years of life were certainly influenced by the incident, since she decided to live as a private citizen on Paul’s Waterfall estate in Peasmarsh, East Sussex. Heather is unmarried and has never had children. She also doesn’t have any public social media accounts.

Mary McCartney

On August 28, 1969, Mary McCartney was born into the world. She earned a lot of attention as Paul’s firstborn child, even appearing on the cover of her father’s McCartney album under his coat (photographed by Linda, naturally).

Mary McCartney followed in her mother’s footsteps as a professional photographer.

Mary, like her skilled mother, chose to work as a professional photographer.

After a three-year romance, the brunette married her first husband, television producer Alistair Donald, in 1998. On April 3, 1999, the exes welcomed their son Arthur Donald into the world, making Paul a grandfather for the first time. On August 1, 2002, she and Alistair had their second child, son Elliot Donald.

Mary and Alistair announced their separation after a seven-year marriage, officially divorcing in 2007. She then commented on the trying time she had following her mother’s death. “I lost my mother, married, and had a child.” I suppose it would have been a shame if I hadn’t stayed married… “The most exciting thing to get right is relationships,” she told The Sunday Times in 2019.

The next year, Mary became pregnant with her third child, this time with boyfriend Simon Aboud. On August 11, 2008, she gave birth to Sam Aboud. Mary and Simon married lawfully in 2010, and on Sept. 3, 2011, they had their second son, Sid.

Mary has had a number of career highlights, including being picked to photograph former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie in 2000 while they were expecting their fourth child, Leo. She also produced Wingspan, a documentary on her father’s post-Beatles career and the band he formed with Linda.

She is also a vegetarian activist who co-founded the Meat Free Monday organization. Food: Vegetarian Home Cooking and At My Table: Vegetarian Feasts for Family and Friends are two of her cookbooks.

Stella McCartney

Stella is the most well-known of the siblings, because to her successful design profession. She was born on September 13, 1971, and was named Stella after her maternal great-grandmothers. Linda had to have an emergency C-section to bring her third child into the world safely (Paul had previously stated that he wished for her to be born “on the wings of an angel,” eventually inspiring the name of his band Wings).

Stella McCartney has gone on to become a famous fashion designer.

She went to the same East Sussex schools as her siblings, including Bexhill Collage. Stella showed an early interest in clothes and apparel as a teen, designing her first jacket at the age of 13.

She began her career while still in high school, interning at Christian LaCroix and working with her father’s Savile Row tailor. Stella went on to study fashion at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication and Central Saint Martins’ Fashion Design course.

Several of her father’s renowned friends, including Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, modeled her collection for her graduation presentation in 1995. She made a reputation for herself in the business after taking over as creative director of Chloe and revitalizing the brand until she left in 2001 to create her own label.

“There have undoubtedly been occasions when I’ve been ridiculed or not taken seriously,” she told MailOnline in an interview, reflecting on the difficulties of her last name and link with her father. “There have even been those on my payroll who doubted my ability to succeed.” “Hang on a minute, I’m employing you, and you don’t believe in the long-term viability of my company?” she admitted.

The brand is still going strong today, with many retail locations and collaborations with Adidas and musicians like Taylor Swift. Her services to British fashion earned her the title of Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2013.

Stella is married to Alasdhair Willis, a publisher, whom she married in August 2003. Miller Alasdhair James Willis, born in 2005, Bailey Linda Olwyn Willis, born in 2006, Beckett Robert Lee Willis, born in 2008, and Reiley Dilys Stella Willis, born in 2010, are the couple’s four children.

Stella, like her family members, is an animal rights activist who does not use animal materials in her collections (including leather and fur). She also runs her own charity, Stella McCartney Cares, which helps women with breast cancer.

Given her mother’s cause of death, the charity is near and dear to her heart. “I’m losing my mother.” When she founded the group, she reflected on her own experience as a mother and remarked, “That was a punch-me moment.” “Since my mother died, I’ve felt like a different person, as if I’m steering a ship with my husband alongside me, and we’re carrying these four children into unknown waters,” she said.

James McCartney

On September 12, 1977, James Louis McCartney was born. He was named after his paternal grandfather, Jim McCartney (Paul’s full name is James Paul McCartney, so it’s a double tribute).

He followed up the album with Me in 2013 and The Blackberry Train in 2016.

James has never been married and has no children. He is a vegetarian and an animal rights activist, just like his sisters and father.
