De Blasio’s ‘pay parity’ hypocrisy

Mayor Bill de Blasio merely wanted to use the Canyon of Heroes parade for the US Women’s World Cup champs to push his presidential hopes by grandstanding on pay parity. Yet he’s a blatant hypocrite on the problem.

In advance of the parade, de Blasio instructed reporters that, as president, he’d get Congress to require “equal pay for men and women in all of our national sports teams.” And if he couldn’t, he’d issue a (blatantly illegal) authorities order siccing the IRS on the US Soccer Federation to verify equal pay for the World Cup heroines.

Back on planet Earth, there’s a gender pay gap on the excessive of his private administration. As Julia Marsh reported in Sunday’s Post, 4 of the 5 highest-paid members of his administration are males.

Overall in de Blasio’s excessive ranks, girls earn 81 cents for every dollar earned by the boys. And every Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza and new NYCHA chief Gregory Russ have salaried over $400,000, way over their female predecessors.

Then there’s his supposed switch in the direction of “pay equity” for metropolis pre-Okay lecturers. Pay is means a lot much less for a lot of who work for group nonprofits than for these employed in pre-Okay packages at metropolis schools. But de Blasio’s “solution” solely rewards some nonprofit staff — these whose jobs are unionized. Two-thirds of these lecturers get no justice.

That’s blatant discrimination.

He’s an entire poser.
