Cyndi Lauper & Son Declyn, 23, Make Rare Red…

Cyndi Lauper on the red carpet with her son Declan, 23, before speaking out for women’s rights at the 2021 MTV VMAs on Sept. 12.

On September 12, pop diva Cyndi Lauper attended the MTV Video Music Awards, where she helped the network celebrate its 40th anniversary.

She strolled the red carpet with her attractive son, Declyn, 23, before taking the stage to deliver an award.

He donned an identical grey shirt and pants set, while she wore a black leather jacket with a sheer dress underneath. Declyn completed his ensemble with a pair of fashionable sunglasses, and the mother-son combo looked adorable together. Take a look at the photographs below to see what I mean.

Cyndi took the stage after entering the show and spoke out for women’s rights. “How are things going with you? In 1984, I got a moon person award at the very first VMAs.

At the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Lauper observed, “Things are a little different now.” “Of course, girls want to have a good time. However, we also require funds. Equal pay for equal work. We have command over our body! Fundamental rights, you know.”

After that, Cyndi awarded Justin Bieber, Daniel Caesar, and Giveon with the Best Pop award for their track “Peaches.”

Cyndi spoke with Entertainment Tonight after leaving the stage and stated she has always campaigned for women’s rights. She also stated that “all girls” were portrayed in her video for “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”

“I worked extremely hard to ensure that ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’ represented all girls, so that all girls could see themselves,” she explained. “I tried to convey that, and I have to say, we were the little engine that could,” says the author. That year, I was nominated for seven prizes but only won one. But I was there, and I had the opportunity to create this performance art.”
