Chrissy Teigen opened up on National Son’s Day, almost a year after her miscarriage, in a poignant Instagram post.
Chrissy Teigen, 35, told up about her devastating miscarriage after suffering issues with her third pregnancy. The model wrote a heartbreaking homage to her newborn son, Jack, in an Instagram post shared on Sept. 28.
Chrissy is seen laying in a hospital bed, comforted by her husband John Legend, in the photo below.
“And to the son we almost had,” the Cravings author captioned the sad post she shared with her 35.4 million fans. You gave me the worst suffering I could ever conceive a year ago to prove to me that I could survive anything, even if I didn’t want to”.
“I didn’t get to take care of you, but you came and went to get me to love and care for myself because our bodies are valuable and life is a miracle,” the message said. They promised things would get easier, but that hasn’t happened yet. “Mom and dad will always love you.”
In the comments section, fans were eager to express their condolences for the model. One fan wrote, “Thank you for your transparency and courage in sharing your sadness and pain.” “Sending you love from one loss mom to another, thank you for continuing to share your holy journey,” one person said. Needless to say, the model’s message was filled with heart emojis and encouraging words to help her through this difficult time.
Chrissy has been transparent about her pregnancy journey, documenting every detail on social media, as followers were aware. Unfortunately, she was brought to the hospital on Sept. 27, 2020, near the halfway point of her third pregnancy, after she had experienced continuous bleeding from a weaker placenta following 10 days of doctor-ordered home bedrest. In a tragic Instagram post, she informed fans that she and her husband had lost their baby Jack on Sept. 30.
Chrissy stated, “We are startled and in a kind of profound anguish you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before.” “Despite bags and bags of blood transfusions, we were never able to stop the bleeding and give our son the fluids he need. “It simply wasn’t enough.”
“To our Jack, I’m so sorry that the first few minutes of your life were filled with so many complications that we weren’t able to provide you with the home you needed to survive,” she continued. “You will always be loved by us.”
Hopefully, by being upfront about this tragic loss, others will be able to get the care they require. Luna, 5, and Miles, 3, are John and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model’s children.
