BREAKING: Virat Kohli says he will step down as T20I…

Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian cricket team, has announced his decision to step aside as the team’s T20I captain.

Kohli was expected to give Rohit Sharma the captaincy of the white-ball squad, according to reports.

Virat Kohli has confirmed on Twitter that he will not captain India in the shortest version of the game after the ICC T20 World Cup in 2021.

In his article, he stated that he will continue to captain the Men in Blue in Test and ODI cricket, while a new cricketer will take over as T20I captain after the tournament.

Virat Kohli stated that he had been playing for 8-9 years in all three versions of the sport. As a result, he needed to keep track of his workload. As a result, he will now concentrate solely on his T20I batting.

Kohli expressed gratitude to the team’s support personnel, management, coach Ravi Shastri, and vice-captain Rohit Sharma. He went on to say that he had told BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah about it.

Kohli continued by declaring that he would continue to do everything in his power to help Indian cricket.
