Jennifer Gates’ forthcoming wedding to fiancé Nayel Nassar is already being planned in upstate New York at her parents’ $16 million North Salem farm.
Jennifer Gates is almost ready to go down the aisle! The 25-year-old daughter of Bill Gates, 65, and Melinda French Gates, 57, is set to marry fiancé Nayel Nassar, 30, in the near future, and wedding plans are already underway!
Tents were being set up on Wednesday (Oct. 13) at Jennifer’s lavish 124-acre horse farm in North Salem, New York, which will serve as the setting for the nuptials, according to new images – which can be viewed HERE. According to the Daily Mail, Bill and Melinda bought the $16 million home in 2018 and gave it to Jennifer after she graduated from Stanford University.
According to the New York Post, workers built raised pavilions on the lawn with floor-to-ceiling windows and a semi-circular stage for the wedding before erecting the tents. “Everything is being tastefully done, even the port-a-potties are nicely constructed,” a “friend” of Jennifer told the Daily Mail. According to rumors, the upcoming event will cost “at least” $2 million.
In January 2020, Jennifer became engaged to Nayel, an Egyptian professional equestrian. Her parents will be reunited for the wedding, after they finalized their divorce in August, three months after announcing their separation. Melinda hosted a bridal shower for her daughter in mid-September, and she documented the event on Instagram with images from the “very memorable party.”
Bill and Melinda had been married for 25 years when they decided to divorce in May. Jennifer later shared a statement on her Instagram Story in response to the news of her parents’ divorce. “It’s been a difficult period for my entire family.” “I’m grateful for the space to learn how to best support my own process and feelings, as well as those of my family members at this time,” she wrote.
Bill confesses to having an affair during his marriage to Melinda a few weeks later. There was no prenuptial or postnuptial agreement between the two, and Melinda refused to seek spousal assistance from the Microsoft co-founder (whose fortune is estimated to be worth $130 billion). The couple did have a separation agreement that determined how their assets would be divided, but it was never filed with the court.
