In the end credits of King Richard, the new Will Smith-starring movie about the father of famous tennis players Venus and Serena Williams, Beyoncé performs a new song.
According to The Los Angeles Times, a new Beyonce song named “Be Alive” plays during the closing credits of the film, which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival. The song was co-written by Beyoncé and DIXON, a Roc Nation signee.
This means that Beyoncé might be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. She was previously the executive producer of the music for the live-action version of The Lion King, but her single, “Spirit,” received no nominations.
