Ben Roethlisberger connected with Diontae Johnson for a 60-yard touchdown in the first quarter against the Denver Broncos.

This is how you get a game off to a fast start. It’s no secret that Ben Roethlisberger has struggled to lead the Pittsburgh Steelers offense this season. People have been demanding for him to be benched left and right because of it.

Roethlisberger connected with Diontae Johnson for a spectacular 50-yard touchdown early in the game against the Denver Broncos, but those calls have gone quieter. The crowd at Heinz Field was ecstatic to witness it.

Ben Roethlisberger could shut his haters up with a win over Denver in Week 5

Roethlisberger threw a nice ball, and Johnson took care of the rest owing to his incredible speed. After opening the season with a dramatic away win against the Buffalo Bills, the Steelers have dropped three straight games.

However, the team’s fortunes have been on the decline since then. Pittsburgh went to Green Bay in Week 4 and couldn’t keep up with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Now, the club is hoping to put an end to their losing run against the 3-1 Broncos. So far, Roethlisberger and Pittsburgh have had a successful season.

The Steelers must play considerably better at home in order to get back into the postseason race, while the offense adjusts to new offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Sunday’s early returns look positive.
