Everyone, even Ben Affleck’s ex, Gwyneth Paltrow, seems to be infatuated with photographs of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez making their red carpet debut.
Take a look at her comment!Gwyneth Paltrow has reacted to the stunning photos of her ex-boyfriend Ben Affleck, 49, on the red carpet announcing his restored relationship with Jennifer Lopez, 52!
The couple attended the premiere of Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel, which Ben co-wrote and co-starred in alongside childhood buddy Matt Damon, at the Venice Film Festival on September 10.
The Goop creator, who dated Ben in the early 2000s and said, “Okay, this is sweet,” under a shot uploaded by Jen’s stylist Mariel Haenn, was among the thousands of people who commented on the photos.
Gwyneth is essentially the CEO of preserving excellent connections with her ex-boyfriends, as fans are well aware. After calling it quits with her ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 44, with whom she’s remained close throughout the years, she coined the phrase “conscious uncoupling.”
Gwyneth first met Ben at a party in 1997, and the two began dating later that year. While they were both in love, the two co-starred in the 1998 film Shakespeare in Love.
Unfortunately, they had broken up by the time she won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for the critically praised film in 1999, but she acknowledged her “friend” Ben in her acceptance speech. The couple resumed their romance when they co-starred in the drama picture Bounce in 2000, but they called it quits in late 2000.
Gwyneth has intimated throughout the years that Ben had troubles that led to their breakup. “Ben makes life difficult for himself,” she told Diane Sawyer in 2003. He’s got a lot going on, and you know, he’s a really kind man. So I’m hoping he gets his act together.”
During a 2015 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, she went even farther, claiming, “He wasn’t in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend,” though she did add that he was “very clever and really, really creative.”
