30-plus bikes stolen from Boulder store

A store in north Boulder had dozens of bikes stolen in a New Year’s Day heist.

Boulder police spokeswoman Shannon Aulabaugh confirmed police are investigating a theft at Stradalli Carbon Sports, which has been at 4455 Broadway for a few 12 months and a half.

Owner Tom Stradalli mentioned 31 bicycles, 4 carbon wheel units, two carbon mountain bike frames, a full shelf of clothes and varied instruments had been stolen early Tuesday morning, when the store was closed for New Year’s Day.

In complete, Stradelli estimates between $250,000 to $300,000 value of merchandise was stolen.

Stradalli mentioned it seems the suspects lower energy and cellphone traces at round 2:30 a.m., and waited till the alarm system’s backup battery died about 4 to 5 hours later earlier than breaking in.
