2 killed in crash that shut down I-285 in Sandy Springs for hours




Two of us died in an in a single day wreck after a motorcycle crashed proper right into a tractor-trailer on I-285 in Sandy Springs, police talked about.

Marvin Roberson, 33, of Roswell, and Natalie Strauss, 26, of Sandy Springs, had been every killed in the wreck, which occurred on the outer loop of I-285 about 10 p.m. Monday, in line with Sandy Springs police spokesman Sgt. Sam Worsham.

Roberson was working a 2007 Kawasaki bike and Strauss was a passenger, Worsham talked about.

“Mr. Roberson accelerated onto the interstate from Ashford Dunwoody Road and struck the rear of the tractor-trailer,” he talked about.

The man was pronounced lifeless on the scene. Strauss, who was thrown from the bike, was taken to a hospital the place she was pronounced lifeless.

Worsham talked about it appears that tempo was a component in the crash. No charges have been filed in direction of the driving force of the truck.

All westbound lanes of I-285 had been closed for hours between Ashford Dunwoody and Peachtree Dunwoody roads whereas crews labored to clear the crash. The wreck was cleared by 3 a.m., in line with the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.
