Trump says he's ready to hit China with another $267 billion in tariffs

The world’s two largest economies have already utilized tariffs to $50 billion of one another’s items. Talks aimed toward easing tensions ended final month with out main breakthroughs, and Washington seems emboldened by a sell-off in Chinese language markets and a weakening economic system.

Trump mentioned Wednesday he was not ready to make a take care of China “that they’d prefer to make.” Nonetheless, he added, his administration will “proceed to speak to China.”

Trump’s remarks to reporters on Friday sparked a 100-point drop within the Dow Jones Industrial Common round 12 p.m. ET, with the obvious escalation within the commerce tensions with China.
