The U.S.’s former prime intelligence official has rubbished President Donald Trump’s claims that overseas actors exterior of Russia could have been concerned within the alleged hacking of the 2016 U.S. presidential election, saying that they’re unsubstantiated.
“We noticed no proof by any means that it was anybody concerned on this apart from the Russians,” James Clapper, who served as director of nationwide intelligence from 2010 to 2017, instructed CNN Thursday.
Hours earlier Trump instructed reporters in Poland that he believed different nations alongside Russia may have had a job to play in affecting the result.
